Price Hill Will photo contest seeks positive images

Capturing Price Hill's charm in pictures could lead to big prizes.

Price Hill Will is sponsoring "Price Hill: Looking Up", a photo contest meant to document positive images of East, West, and Lower Price Hill.

The contest will feature three categories: nature, architecture, and people. Six finalists – two from each category – will be announced and displayed at the Price Hill Cultural Heritage Fest on August 28.

Three local photographers, Michael Wilson, Tom Schiff, and Brad Smith, will choose a grand prize winner, winners, and runners-up in each category. Winners will be announced at a future fundraiser, for which a date has yet to be determined.

Prizes will include framed copies of the photographer's work by Wellage & Schaff Picture Framing and Robin Imaging Services, gift certificates, and more.

"Price Hill is a neighborhood on the move and this contest aims to collect visual evidence of how great this neighborhood is," said Price Hill Will director of marketing and neighborhood promotion. "Whether it is our stunning parks and views, our diverse and historic architecture or the people, this neighborhood has so many great qualities that we want to share with the world."

Entries are due by the end of business on August 5 and can be submitted via e-mail to matt@pricehillwill.org.

Additional contest rules can be found on the Price Hill Will website.
