Call for entries issued for AIA Cincinnati sustainability awards

The Cincinnati chapter of the American Institute of Architects' Committee on the Environment (AIA-COTE) has issued a call for entries for in Cincinnati Sustainability Awards 2010.

Presented in conjunction with the AIA, International Interior Design Association Cincinnati/Dayton Center, the American Society of Interior Designers Cincinnati/Dayton, and the Miami Section of the American Society of Landscape Architects, the awards celebrate architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture that not only exhibit design excellence, but also are sensitive to the environment and good stewardship of our natural resources.

Projects will be judged on several criteria, ranging from sustainable intent and innovation to responsiveness to local conditions.

Two juries will judge each project. The first, a neighboring chapter of AIA-COTE, will rank the projects based on technical performance and design. The second, a local group, will select a Local Favorite Award based upon its community impact.

To be eligible, submitting firms must have a local office. Specific projects can be located anywhere, provided a key project team member is a member of one of the four awards organizing groups.

Entries are due on or before July 20 and must be submitted online.
