East Price Hill to celebrate new Kroger store

Cincinnati city manager Milton Dohoney Jr., councilmembers, and Kroger officials will join East Price Hill residents in celebrating the opening of their new grocery store this morning at 8 AM.

The new 64,000-square-foot store, at 3609 Warsaw Avenue, will include a drive-thru pharmacy, a photo lab, and a Nature's Market organic food section.

Cole + Russell Architects designed the site plan to accommodate pedestrians, and has added a taxi stand, bus stop, a new streetscape, crosswalks, and lighting.

Following the old store's demolition in March, its tile mosaic was preserved and has been reinstalled on the front of the store.

Kroger is also expected to announce a charitable donation to Manna Outreach, Inc., a volunteer organization that provides food and other emergency assistance to residents of Price Hill.
