Permits are in route to convert the Western Hills Wal-Mart at 2322 Ferguson Road (BIRD'S EYE) into a supercenter.
Attempts by Building Cincinnati to confirm the news and to gain details were not successful.
A typical supercenter averages 197,000 square feet and includes dry goods, a full-service grocery, a pharmacy, a garden center, and an auto shop. Many also include smaller specialty shops near the front entrance, as well as fast-food restaurants and gas stations.
There are currently seventeen Wal-Mart supercenters operating in the Greater Cincinnati area.
