A long-vacant former school building in Covington's Peaselburg neighborhood is now fully occupied.
Academy Flats, formerly the Fifth District School, has been transformed into 26 units of senior-citizen housing by the Model Group.
The restoration features tin ceilings, wood floors and wood-framed windows.
At a recent meeting of the Cincinnati Preservation Association, the rehabilitation was one of 11 recipients of its annual Preservation Awards.
