Cause of death: At least a dozen code violations, mostly structural and electric. The property first started having problems in 2004, but an ownership change closed the case before it could get into pre-prosecution. The next owner failed to show up for a pre-prosecution hearing in June. The lot is now owned by the Ronald McDonald House and backs up against three vacant lots on Erkenbrecher Avenue. Perhaps they are looking to expand their parking indefinitely....
