Urban Conservator, Board of Housing Appeals holding hearings today

The City of Cincinnati's Urban Conservator, Larry Harris, will hold a public hearing today at 2 P.M., Centennial Two, 805 Central Avenue, Suite 720, to determine the historic significance of 50 buildings that have been condemned and/or declared a public nuisance and entered into the City's hazard abatement program.

All of the following buildings are more than 50 years old and subject to review under Section 1101-57.1(1) of the Cincinnati Municipal Code:

Anyone with pertinent information or evidence of any of these buildings' historic significance is encouraged to testify. A finding of historic significance can prevent a building from being demolished.


Board of Housing Appeals

Today at 1 P.M. at the Business Development and Permit Center, 3300 Central Parkway, Cincinnati's Board of Housing Appeals will hold a public hearing to consider orders against the following properties:
  • 21 W 65th St, Carthage (two-family, 1913), suspension of Vacant Building Maintenance License (VBML) fee - continuance
  • 1865 Chase Ave, Northside (multi-family, 1900), collection of past due VBML fees
  • 941 Enright Ave, East Price Hill (single-family, 1895), suspension of VBML
  • 901 Wells St, East Price Hill (single-family, 1953), suspension of VBML fee
  • 2393 Maryland Ave, East Price Hill (two-family, 1910), suspension of VBML fee
  • 3615 Washington Ave, Avondale (nursing home, 1963), suspension of VBML fee
  • 520 Hickman Ave, Avondale (single-family, 1909), suspension of VBML fee
  • 2604 Eden Ave, Corryville (multi-family, 1900), suspension of VBML fee
  • 4444 Eastern Ave, Columbia Tusculum (single-family, 1895), suspension of VBML fee
  • 2724 Woodburn Ave, East Walnut Hills (retail, 1927), suspension of building code violation orders

  • 1408 Vine St, Over-the-Rhine (commercial garage, 1900), suspension of VBML fee - continuance
  • 1321 Republic St, Over-the-Rhine (two-family, 1901), suspension of VBML
  • 1523 Race St, Over-the-Rhine (multi-family, 1870), suspension of VBML fee
  • 1416 Elm St, Over-the-Rhine (multi-family, ???), suspension of VBML fee
  • 1419 Race St, Over-the-Rhine (single-family, ???), suspension of VBML fee
  • 1517 Vine St, Over-the-Rhine (mixed-use, 1890), suspension of VBML fee
  • 118 W 15th St, Over-the-Rhine (mixed-use, 1900), suspension of VBML fee
  • 1323 Republic St, Over-the-Rhine (multi-family, ???), suspension of VBML fee
