Fourteen buildings, two garages declared a public nuisance

Following public hearings held March 30 by the Department of Community Development, Property Maintenance Code Enforcement, the following 14 buildings and two free-standing garages have been declared a public nuisance:

• 338 Rockdale Ave, Avondale (Two-family, 1900)
• 1922 Clarion Ave, Evanston (Single-family, 1910)
• 5115 Kenwood Rd, Madisonville (Single-family, 1895)
• 1601 Baltimore Ave, North Fairmount (Two-family, 1870)
• 1646 Dauner Ave, Evanston (Multi-family, 1900)
• 1521 Gilpin Ave, Evanston (Multi-family, 1900)
• 4229 Kirby Ave, Northside (garage only)
• 1526 Chase Ave, Northside (Two-family, 1895)
• 1317 Chase Ave, Northside (Multi-family, 1900)
• 18 Mulberry St, Mount Auburn (garage only)
• 659 Delhi Ave, Sedamsville (Three-family, 1865)
• 2107 Vine St, Clifton Heights (Single-family, 1865)
• 1614 Brewster Ave, Evanston (Single-family, 1895)
• 2129 Staebler St, Lower Price Hill (Multi-family, 1900)
• 6214 Coleridge Ave, Kennedy Heights (Single-family, 1967)

A public nuisance declaration subjects these buildings to demolition by governmental action, pending the awarding of bids and the issuance of permits.
