Nominations are now being accepted for Heritage Ohio's 2010 Annual Preservation and Revitalization Awards, to be presented at its Annual Preservation and Revitalization Conference in Athens, Ohio on June 17.
Eligible are the people, places and projects that exemplify the organization's commitment to growth through preservation and revitalization in nine categories: preservation hero, best commercial rehabilitation, best public rehabilitation, most creative fundraising effort, best spirit of the Ohio Main Street Program, Main Street manager of the year, and Main Street business of the year.
Each nominee will be judged by innovation, inclusiveness, cost effectiveness, local appropriateness, outcome, and historic integrity.
All projects must have been completed by December 31, 2009.
The deadline for nominations is 5 P.M. on May 3, and forms are available here (PDF).
