Cause of death: Vacant and likely abandoned, home to trespassers and animals. The roof structure was failing, and the left rear corner of the building was rotted and falling. Part of the damage was caused by falling bricks from a neighboring chimney. The house was condemned in May 2008.

It was razed by the Hamilton County Park District, which acquired the property in December.
