AFC unveils online dictionary of Cincinnati architects

The Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati (AFC) has unveiled an online biographical dictionary of Cincinnati architects who practiced between 1788 and 1940.

Compiled and written by architectural historian and historic preservation consultant Walter E. Langsam with contemporary photos by Alice Weston, the site is searchable by the names of the many local and national architects who practiced throughout the region.

In addition to architects, other contributors to the built environment such as engineers, landscape architects, urban planners, interior designers, builders, and craftspersons are given significant representation.

The online publication is edited by AFC executive director Sue Ann Painter and Ohio University journalism student Susannah Sachdeva.
