National City gets Queensgate expansion room

Cincinnati City Council has approved unanimously an ordinance that could bring 75 to 125 new jobs to Queensgate.

The ordinance authorizes the sale of portions of McLean Avenue and Richmond Street to National City Bank for an expansion that would include a new data processing center.

National City has offered the property's fair market value of $17,500 for the 0.4 acres.

The company has estimated the cost of the new facility at between $45 million and $55 million.

No plans or timetables for the building have been announced.
