Cause of death: Generally deteriorated, vacant, and litter-strewn, the house was vacated by the City in June 2006. The site became a frequent drug hangout and was the subject of many neighbor complaints. After the owner failed to show up for a pre-prosecution hearing, a criminal case was prepared. In November 2007, Working in Neighborhoods (WIN) purchased the property for $28,000 and a new case was issued. WIN is working closely with the College Hill community and will likely redevelop the site in the future.
