'Gardening in the City' series begins tonight

A three-part workshop on urban gardening begins this evening at 7 PM at the Popular Library of the Main Library branch Downtown.

Gardening in the City provides tips for greening up your urban space, with demonstrations of the types of plants that work well in a city setting.

Tonight's workshop on container gardening will be led by David White of Outer Space Landscaping and Lisa Yunker of City Roots.

Future workshops include courtyard gardening on July 8 and rooftop gardening on August 12.

Gardening in the City is a partnership between the Downtown Residents Council and the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County.
