A fire-damaged condominium at 1023 Cutter Street (BIRD'S EYE) in the West End will be restored using the original construction drawings.
Homeowner Carol Camp has just received permits to begin work restoring the five-year-old City West townhome.
On the evening December 15, 2007, a two-alarm fire broke out at the home, with heavy flames showing from all three floors.
Forty firefighters fought the blaze for two-and-a-half hours.
A father and a three-year-old child escaped without injuries by jumping from the second-floor balcony with the aid of their neighbors.
An adjacent condominium was also damaged, with total losses estimated at $300,000.
The City issued a fire condemnation on Camp's property on January 7.
Camp has applied for a vacant building license until the work is completed.
