Cause of death: A collapsing foundation, perhaps due to landslide. The house was condemned in December after the fire department was called out for a gas leak. It was discovered that several gas lines had broken and that severe damage had been done to structural members, which had been previously patched - the sign of an ongoing problem. The tenants from both units were vacated for safety reasons.
