ASSESSED VALUE: $77,050
ORDERS: February 2008, for porch, exterior paint, gutters and downspouts, and chimney. Work began by that May, and by late 2009 the front porch had been removed. A civil fine was issued in October 2009. In March 2010, orders were issued for exterior doors, exterior hand rails, exterior steps, porch, exterior paint, siding, gutters and downspouts, chimney, and roof. Both owners were in the Army, service in Iraq. Sparks returned home in August 2010, but no work was done. A civil fine was issued in November 2010, and a second one was issued in March 2011. A criminal case was filed in June 2011. Sparks' mother gained power of attorney.
CONDEMNED: October 2011, citing roof failure, porch, chimney, gutters and downspouts, siding, exterior paint, and interior damage from a July 2011 fire.
HAZARD: August 2012.
REASON RAZED: Declared a public nuisance and entered into the City's hazard abatement program. Demolished using Moving Ohio Forward program funding.
