'Prep the Town' seeks volunteers to prepare 40 houses for painting

Paint the Town is seeking volunteers for this Saturday to prepare approximately 40 houses for the main event, which will take place in Norwood on June 8.

Sanding, scraping, priming, and power washing activity will take place between 8:30 A.M. and 2 P.M. Breakfast, lunch, and an after-party will be provided.

Organized by Give Back Cincinnati, the single-day event brings together more than 1,000 volunteers to paint the exteriors of houses for owners who are physically or financially unable to do so themselves. Houses are selected through an application process, with the goal of acting as a catalyst for the beautification of the entire community.

Now in its twelfth year, Paint the Town has painted more than 350 houses in the communities of Avondale, Bellevue, Carthage, Cheviot, College Hill, Covington, Dayton, the East End, Evanston, Hartwell, Madisonville, Northside, and Price Hill.
