Urban Conservator to consider 30 buildings

The City of Cincinnati's Urban Conservator, Larry Harris, will hold a public hearing today at 2 P.M., Centennial Two, 805 Central Avenue, Suite 720, to determine the historic significance of 30 buildings that have been condemned and/or declared a public nuisance and entered into the City's hazard abatement program.

All of the following buildings are more than 50 years old and subject to review under Section 1101-57.1(1) of the Cincinnati Municipal Code:

Anyone with pertinent information or evidence of any of these buildings' historic significance is encouraged to testify. A finding of historic significance can prevent a building from being demolished.


Board of Housing Appeals

Today at 1 P.M. at the Business Development and Permit Center, 3300 Central Parkway, Cincinnati's Board of Housing Appeals will hold a public hearing to consider orders against the following properties:
  • 1264 Sliker Ave, West Price Hill (single-family, 1920), suspension of Vacant Building Maintenance License (VBML) fee - continuance
  • 1308 Broadway, Pendleton (multi-family, 1880), suspension of VBML fee - continuance
  • 14 E 15th St, Over-the-Rhine (multi-family, 1895), suspension of VBML fee - continuance
  • 1433 Republic St, Over-the-Rhine (three-family, 1884), suspension of VBML fee
  • 625 Main St, Central Business District (mixed-use, 1880), suspension of VBML fee
  • 2100 Reading Rd, Mount Auburn (manufacturing. 1930), suspension of VBML fee (razed)
  • 996 Hatch St, Mount Adams (two-family, 1884), suspension of VBML fee
  • 3245 Colerain Ave, Camp Washington (manufacturing, 1916), suspension of VBML fee
  • 1736 Kinney Ave, Evanston (two-family, 1883), suspension of VBML fee
