ASSESSED VALUE: $35,380
ORDERS: April 2001, ordered barricaded. Ordered vacated and barricaded in March 2003, citing flooring, decorative features, drainage, front porch, windows, cornice, gutters and downspouts, and roof. Orders reissued to new owner in December 2003, citing roof, front porch, windows, cornice, and gutters and downspouts. Some work was completed, but was stopped as the owner awaited further funding. Eventually, the City lost contact with him, and the property was again ordered vacated and barricaded in February 2006. Reissued to a new owner in June 2006. A criminal case was filed in October 2007, but was dismissed the next month due to an inability to serve summons.
CONDEMNED: February 2010, citing gutters and downspouts, cornice, siding, exterior paint, windows, lack of utilities, water damage and vandalism.
HAZARD: January 2012. By March 2012, the property had been forfeited to the State through tax foreclosure. The building was acquired by the current owner in October 2012, ten days after a bid was accepted for its demolition.
REASON RAZED: Declared a public nuisance and entered into the City's hazard abatement program. Demolished using Moving Ohio Forward funding.
