Wrecking Cincinnati: 2184 Harrison Ave

USE: Single-family dwelling
OWNER: Anthony Knott
ORDERS: July 2008, ordered vacated and barricaded due to siding, gutters and downspouts, defective front porch, broken windows, and exterior paint. A criminal case was filed in January 2009, and two months later the owner pled "no contest" and was given a 180-day suspended jail sentence, one year of probation, and court costs. Interior work was largely completed, but exterior work was not. In March 2010, probation was extended for two years.
CONDEMNED: May 2010, for a bulging foundation, side porch, windows, siding, and missing hand rail. In early 2011, the owner lost the building in foreclosure.
HAZARD: May 2012, citing the foundation, holes in the exterior walls, roof, gutters and downspouts, exterior paint, broken and missing windows, and water damage.
REASON RAZED: Declared a public nuisance and entered into the City's hazard abatement program. Demolished using Moving Ohio Forward funding.
