OWNER: Charles M. and Brandy N. Brown
ASSESSED VALUE: $28,560
ORDERS: February 2004, for gutters and downspouts and a dilapidated fence. In September 2005, a new owner was hit with orders for interior and exterior doors, electric fixtures, paint, plaster, smoke detectors, fire escape, fire doors, windows, siding, exterior walks, gutters and downspouts, and the dilapidated fence. By August 2006, the property appeared vacant and the lot was overgrown. It was ordered barricaded in March 2007. The building was lost in bankruptcy.
CONDEMNED: June 2008, adding a foundation bulging inward and a rear chimney with loose and falling brick. Plans to turn the building into a single-family home fell through, and it was eventually sold at Sheriff's sale. The current owners received condemnation orders in June 2009. A criminal case was filed against Mr. and Ms. Brown, and housing diversion was granted.
HAZARD: February 2011.
REASON RAZED: Declared a public nuisance and entered into the City's hazard abatement program.
