ASSESSED VALUE: $19,640

REASON RAZED: There are no current plans for the site, but, according to the Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC), the building and site were very hard to secure, making it a consistent problem for police and public safety. The property was razed using Moving Ohio Forward grant money received through the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority. Formerly the Samuel W. Bell Home for Sightless, the property was purchased by 3CDC affiliate OTR Holdings Inc. for $275,000 in 2010, shortly after a purchase option expired that would have allowed Pennsylvania-based Firetree Ltd. to open a 46-bed residential re-entry facility for federal ex-offenders.
