EcoSculpt moving to Washington Park, seeking applicants

This year's EcoSculpt exhibit and competition has moved from Fountain Square to the newly-renovated Washington Park.

Applications are being accepted through Mar. 8 at 5 P.M. from teams and individuals interested in designing and installing large-scale sculptures composed entirely of recycled or recyclable materials.

Twenty-five submissions will be chosen, and sculpture installation will begin April 5.

Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $150 will be awarded on Earth Day, Apr. 22, for first- through third-place projects, respectively – with an additional $100 People's Choice award.

EcoSculpt is presented by Duke Energy and the Johnson Foundation.
