Afterward, I made my way up to the Views on Vine project site, now rising out of the ground on the block bounded by Vine Street, W Daniels Street, Glendora Avenue, and W University Avenue. Time left on the meter...why waste it?
A partnership between Uptown Rental Properties and North American Properties, the $20 million project will add 102 apartment units, 18,400 square feet of retail/commercial space, and a 190-space parking garage to the Short Vine corridor. Fifth Third Bank already has signed on as a retail tenant.
The site was formerly occupied by Schiel School, which was incorporated into Over-the-Rhine's School for Creative and Performing Arts in 2010. The 100-year-old school building was demolished in late 2011.
