Photos: Washington Park, pre-opening

The following photos were taken on July 3 during a special media tour given by the Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC), showing off the park's new features just three days before the grand opening.

The two-year, $48 million project by the Cincinnati Park Board and 3CDC expanded the park from six acres to eight, refurbished the historic bandstand, and added a 450-space underground parking garage.

Within the park itself, a children's playground, a dog park, an interactive water feature, a civic lawn, an event plaza, a performance stage, and concession building and restrooms were added.

These 54 photos have been added to a new Washington Park gallery. Please click on each photo to enlarge to 800 x 600 resolution.
