Medpace opens new building in Madisonville

Medpace, Inc. has announced the opening of its new, state-of-the-art Clinical Pharmacology Unit (CPU) on its Madisonville campus, at the corner of Red Bank Expressway and Madison Road.

The 60,000-square-foot facility is twice the size of its previous Norwood CPU, featuring a total of 96 beds for overnight stays, a pharmacy, processing labs, and a dedicated patient recruitment staff. The Norwood facility will close following the move to the new building.

The new facility joins the Medpace global headquarters and the Medpace Clinical Research Organization on its campus, increasing the company's ability to conduct multiple clinical studies for its pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.

"The new CPU facility is designed to conduct best in class Phase I studies – doubling our current capacity and investing in cutting edge instrumentation and process," Medpace President Dr. August Troendle said in a prepared release.

Additional laboratory capacity will be added to the campus this year, Troendle said.

"By the end of 2012, we will see the completion of Medpace Reference Laboratories and Medpace Bioanalytical Laboratories facility at the new location," he said. "The CPU and the labs complete the fully integrated campus."

In business since 1992, Medpace employs more than 1,200 worldwide and conducts clinical trials in more than 40 countries.
