The Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati (AFC) is accepting drawings for a juried competition meant to showcase the region's architecture talent.

The Architectural Drawing Competition 2011, co-sponsored by the Cincinnati chapter of the American Institute of Architects, is open to architects, currently-enrolled architectural students, landscape architects, interior designers, and other individuals associated with the architectural discipline in the Greater Cincinnati region.

Entry fees are $40 for professionals – which includes a complimentary membership to AFC – and $10 for students.

Prizes are $500 for best-in-show and $250 for both the best professional work and the best student work. All award winners will receive a custom medallion.

A reception and awards ceremony will kick off an exhibition of selected works at the AFC Race Street Gallery on February 23. Entry fees include admission to the reception.

Entries must be delivered to the AFC headquarters, 811 Race Street, on February 9 or 10 from 10 A.M.-2 P.M.

Complete rules are available online. General information is available by calling AFC at (513) 421-4469.
