Cause of death: Cracks in the front wall, water damage from a deteriorated roof and gutters, loose and falling bricks, window damage, and lack of protective paint. The residence was vacant since at least 2002.
The building was condemned in December 2006, declared a public nuisance in July 2007, and razed by the City.
It appears that the building owners were deceased and an out-of-town heir was unable to bring the building up to minimum code. A criminal case was never filed.
