Pleasant Ridge is seeking volunteers for a grassroots initiative that they hope will create a more thriving business district and attract new businesses to the neighborhood.
An informational open house will be held at the Pea Pod Café, 6227 Montgomery Road, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM tomorrow evening.
Specific initiatives will include:
- Developing a Pleasant Ridge Chamber of Commerce
- Increasing the visibility of neighborhood businesses through marketing
- Creating a marketing and branding campaign for Pleasant Ridge
- Maintaining existing business relationships and create an environment for new ones
- Creating a contact list that would be helpful for relocating businesses
- Fundraising to sustain the initative
Volunteers will be expected to attend monthly meetings.
