Cincinnati City Council has approved unanimously an ordinance approving the lease of a City parking lot to the Central Vine Street Business Association (CVBSA).
Currently under construction at the vacant Empire Theater site at 1521 Vine Street in Over-the-Rhine, the parking lot is rapidly nearing completion.
Under the terms of the lease, CVSBA will operate and maintain the 18-space lot, paying $1 per year for a period of three years.
The City has the option to renew the lease for two additional three-year terms.
The Crossroad Health Center already has committed to renting from CVSBA half of the spaces for employees of the center.
