CPS board approves Hoffman-Parham drawings

The Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Education approved architectural drawings of the new Hoffman-Parham School at its September 22 meeting.

The new 63,004-square-foot school, designed by DHArchitects, Inc., will consolidate students from Hoffman and Parham schools into a new building on the current Parham School site at 1835 Fairfax Avenue in Evanston.

Construction, which is estimated to cost $8.5 million, is expected to begin next summer following demolition of the current structure.

Like Parham, the new school will be oriented to Fairfax Avenue, and an asphalt parking lot at the southwest corner of the site will be turned into green space.

Work should be completed by November 2010.

Hoffman-Parham School will serve 400 students in grades PK-8.
