Andy Hemmer.com: $1,000 available for first-time homebuyers

A new grant program is available to first-time homebuyers, regardless of income, if they buy in the City of Cincinnati.

Andy Hemmer reports that the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors, the City of Cincinnati and the Home Ownership Center of Greater Cincinnati are offering a down-payment grant of $1,000, with the goal of increasing homeownership in the City - especially among current renters.

To receive the grant, one must attend nine hours of classroom training at the Home Ownership Center.

The first year goal of the program is 1,000 new homebuyers.
