Cause of death: A collapsing porch, a damaged chimney, failing gutters and lack of paint. The house became vacant and fell into disrepair and had to be barricaded several times by the City, as it had become a hangout for drug dealers and vagrants. The yard was filled with debris. It was finally condemned in August 2006. The owner lost the house in bankruptcy, and the bank had it razed.
