Cause of death: Fire damage, crumbling chimney, a defective porch and missing windows. It was condemned in 2003. Southern Baptist Church never got around to rehabbing it, and a court case was prepared. The court case was never filed. The City later found that the building was not a public nuisance, but it appears that the church probably tore it down to end their problem.
