Cincy.com, "Cincinnati's Original Homepage", is undergoing a massive re-launch and local writer, blogger and talk show host Joe Wessels is now on board.
Cincy.com lists its mission as "is foster online, regional community, including businesses, worship centers, human services and other community entities, coming together online, linking and supporting each other, thereby integrating all of the best in our collective communities".
It appears that it will serve as a news portal and business directory and will be very community-oriented, with space being made available to community groups and neighborhood councils.
The official launch is expected in 2008, and the site is currently in beta.
Cincy.com has existed in some form since 1995.
