City to sell South Block land for parking

Cincinnati City Council unanimously approved an ordinance authorizing the sale of South Block property to the Northside Business Association for the establishment of a public parking lot.

The land, at 3926-3928 Spring Grove Avenue, will be used to build a 22-space parking lot to serve the adjacent business district.

Because the land is currently vacant and produces no revenue, the City will sell it for $1.

Development of the parking lot will also require the purchase of several adjacent properties, which will be paid for with NBD Improvement Project Funds.

Northside's South Block consists of several businesses lining both sides of Spring Grove Avenue.

The Kamlager Family of Los Angeles recently announced plans to renovate the buildings at 3930-3934 Spring Grove Avenue into a wholesale bakery, a retail bakery, an art gallery and apartments.
