Cause of death: Collapsing due to a damaged foundation and crumbling masonry. The building was first condemned in January 2002. By 2003, the City began to prepare for court. Some work was done on some cosmetic elements such as the roof and windows. In 2004, the court case was resolved with the building owner receiving a 30-day suspended jail sentence, a $100 fine and one year of probation. (Unreal!) The property was purchased in 2006 for $2,500 and was demolished by the new owner. Problem solved. :(
