CityKin: Washington Park pool

Over at the CityKin blog, Mike had a great post on Tuesday about pools and recreation in the redesign of Washington Park.

Apparently some Miami architecture students have been working with some neighborhood residents and have come up with some design sketches that include both a swimming pool and basketball courts, both of which were requested by the community council.

Design of the park has had its share of hangups and funding for pools is always a contentious issue at budget time.
