Clarksville, TN: Man kills himself over zoning decision

This is pretty hardcore.

The Associated Press reports that a Clarksville, Tennessee man killed himself in front of city council after a zoning decision didn't go his way.

Ronald "Bo" Ward had wanted his home rezoned to commercial, which he claims would have raised his property's value. This rise in value would have offset the costs (and the debts incurred) of the expansion of his barber shop, which he operated there.

His final words were "Y'all have put me under. ... I'm out of here". He then pulled out a small handgun and shot himself in the head.
