Cause of death: Rotten wood on the gutters, eaves, downspouts and porch, as well as along the foundation. The long-vacant building was condemned in March 2006. It was finally declared a public nuisance in September 2006 and the demolition was put out to bid last March. The building owner failed to pay an $11,500 bond that would have stayed the demolition until after a hearing scheduled for November 2007.
