Urban Conservator, Board of Housing Appeals meet today

The City of Cincinnati's Urban Conservator, Larry Harris, will hold a public hearing today at 2 P.M., Centennial Two, 805 Central Avenue, Suite 720, to determine the historic significance of 16 buildings that are condemned and/or were declared a public nuisance on June 29 and entered into the City's hazard abatement program.

All of the following buildings are more than 50 years old and subject to review under Section 1101-57.1(1) of the Cincinnati Municipal Code:

Anyone with pertinent information or evidence of any of these buildings' historic significance is encouraged to testify. A finding of historic significance can prevent a building from being demolished.


Board of Housing Appeals

Today at 1 P.M. at the Business Development and Permit Center, 3300 Central Parkway, Cincinnati's Board of Housing Appeals will hold a public hearing to consider orders against the following properties:
  • 2866 Minto Ave, Hyde Park (two-family, 1905), suspension of building code violation orders, 1 P.M.
  • 1582 Tremont Ave, South Fairmount (single-family, 1880), suspension of Vacant Building Maintenance License (VBML) fee - continuance, 1 P.M.
  • 2524 Ring Pl, East Price Hill (single-family, 1952), suspension of VBML fee - continuance, 1 P.M.
  • 2190 Quebec Rd, East Price Hill (single-family, 1931), suspension of VBML fee - continuance, 1 P.M.
  • 1831 Forbus St, South Fairmount (two-family, 1900), suspension of VBML fee - continuance, 1 P.M.
  • 4520 Kirby Ave, Northside (single-family, 1925), suspension of VBML fee - continuance, 1 P.M.
  • 1010 Elm St, Downtown (multi-family, 1870), suspension of VBML fee - continuance, 1 P.M.
  • 1508 Pleasant St, Over-the-Rhine (multi-family, ???), suspension of VBML fee - continuance, 1 P.M.
  • 1412 Republic St, Over-the-Rhine (multi-family, ???), suspension of VBML fee, 1 P.M.
  • 1427 Republic St, Over-the-Rhine (three-family, 1901), suspension of VBML fee, 1 P.M.
  • 122 W Fifteenth St, Over-the-Rhine (multi-family, 1875), suspension of VBML fee, 1 P.M.
