Mount St. Joseph wins grant for campus unifying project

A $25,000 grant from the Ohio Valley Foundation/Fifth Third Bank will help pay for renovations at the College of Mount St. Joseph in Delhi Township.

In anticipation of the college's 50th anniversary at its current site, the Collegiate Quad and an outdoor plaza near the Delhi Road entrance is currently being upgraded.

Part of the college's strategic plan, the project is expected to help establish a unified campus and identity by establishing a new gathering space for student celebrations and events, and to provide an improved passageway to the Administration and Library buildings.

"We are most grateful to the Ohio Valley Foundation for supporting these campus improvements designed for enhancing the student experience," College of Mt. St Joseph President Dr. Tony Aretz said in a prepared release.

The project is scheduled for completion this fall.

Before relocating to Delhi and Neeb roads, the college was located on the grounds of the Sisters of Charity on Bender Road.
