One week left for Paint the Town nominations

One week remains for Bellevue and Dayton homeowners to nominate their houses for Paint the Town 2011, scheduled for June 11.

The tenth annual event, organized by Give Back Cincinnati, will bring in more than 1,000 volunteers for a day of community service, painting and rejuvenating the homes of occupants who are typically physically or financially unable to complete the work themselves.

By concentrating in a specific area, the goal is to act as a catalyst for improvements to the whole community.

Homeowners can apply by visiting the Paint the Town website or can pick up an application at their respective city buildings.

Selected homeowners will be notified by May 1.

Since its founding, Paint the Town has painted 270 houses in the communities of Avondale, Carthage, College Hill, Covington, East End, Evanston, Hartwell, Madisonville, Northside, and Price Hill.
