Buildings demolished in the past 30 days

  • 2707 Glendora Ave, Corryville (two-family, 1916). Razed by Uptown Rental Properties as part of the Jefferson/Glendora Apartments redevelopment project.
  • 1628 Baltimore Ave, North Fairmount (single-family, 1920). Public nuisance demolition.
  • 1645 Llanfair Ave, College Hill (single-family, 1922). Razed by Ohio Presbterian Retirement Services, which operates the adjacent Llanfair Retirement Community. No code violations.
  • 2438 Concord St, Walnut Hills (mixed-use, 1880). Public nuisance demolition. Owned by the City, the building was one of several selected for demolition as part of a long-term neighborhood redevelopment strategy.
  • 763 Wayne St, Walnut Hills (two-family, 1880). Condemned due to a roof collapse, the building was purchased and razed by the neighboring property owner.
  • 2407 Symmes St, Walnut Hills (single-family, 1895). Purchased in November 2010 and razed by adjacent property owner Superior Linen and Apparel.
  • 446 Strafer St, Columbia Tusculum (single-family, 1929). Razed by Cottage Hill Development LLC for new single-family construction.
  • 452 Strafer St, Columbia Tusculum (single-family, 1895). Also razed by Cottage Hill Development LLC for new single-family construction.
  • 305 W 5th St, Downtown (commercial, 1875). Long eyed for residential or mixed-use redevelopment, the building fell into hazard status and was demolished following findings that the building had been too heavily altered to remain subject to historic district regulations.
  • 1207 Neff Ave, Lower Price Hill (single-family, 1884). Public nuisance demolition, owner deceased.
  • 263 McCullough St, East End (single-family, 1900). Destroyed with adjacent building in a two-alarm fire on November 18, 2010.
  • 259 McCullough St, East End (two-family, 1910). Destroyed with adjacent building in a two-alarm fire on November 18, 2010.
  • 2500 River Rd, Sedamsville (mixed-use, 1900). Razed by Collins Riverside Development LLC for the long-proposed $50 million Harbor Lights project. Condemned.
  • 5915 Madison Rd, Madisonville (commercial, 1900). Owned by the City, this vacant building once housed the Madisonville Emergency Assistance Program. This block at Madison and Whetsel is being eyed for massive redevelopment.
  • 217 E Clifton Ave, Over-the-Rhine (single-family, 1830). Demolished by Cincinnati Public Schools as part of its Rothenberg School renovation project.
  • 1742 Larch Ave, College Hill (single-family, 1952). Razed by Ohio Presbterian Retirement Services, which operates the surrounding Llanfair Retirement Community. No code violations.

  • 142 E McMicken Ave, Over-the-Rhine (mixed-use, 1895). Demolished by Cincinnati Public Schools for ease to loading docks at Rothenberg School.
  • 1616 Pleasant St, Over-the-Rhine (multi-family, 1880). Emergency demolition following a New Year's Eve fire.
  • 1618 Pleasant St, Over-the-Rhine (single-family, 1927). Public nuisance demolition, fast-tracked due to the collapse of one of 1616 Pleasant St's walls during a New Year's Eve fire.
