The City of Cheviot is accepting requests for qualifications (RFQ) through March 26 for the development of a LEED-certified single-family home.
The infill parcel, located at 3771 Darwin Avenue, was acquired by the city in December 2008 through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Dollar Homes Program.
A house on the property was demolished last year due to its dilapidated condition.
Cheviot is offering the lot for $5,000, but will reimburse the winning developer $3,500 if the house achieves LEED Silver certification, $4,500 for LEED Gold, or $4,999 for LEED Platinum through the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED for Homes program.
