Cause of death: Severe foundation cracks, missing windows and siding, deteriorated concrete steps, and fire damage. Many of the interior fixtures and finishes were missing due to vandalism, and there was evidence that the building was sliding down the hillside. The house has been abandoned since at least 2004.

It was condemned in September 2007. There was no contact from the owner, and the case eventually went to court. The case was dismissed for naming the wrong defendant, and was not reissued.

The house was declared a public nuisance in April 2008 and razed by the City.
