Cause of death: Severe fire damage to the roof and floor structures, missing windows causing weather damage, excessive litter, and overgrown weeds and grass.

It was condemned in January 2007. An overflowing dumpster had been sitting in the driveway for months, suggesting that some work might be going on. The owner had acquired the property following a 2005 foreclosure.

Following the fire and the condemnation, the owner did not show up for pre-prosecution hearings. New siding was installed, and new drywall was applied over charred wood. However, the case eventually went to court. So far, it has not gone to trial.

The house was declared a public nuisance in June and razed by the City.
