Inside the Northside HOMEs, 6/24/08

Northside's HOME project homes, built by the Cincinnati Northside Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation at the corner of Chase Avenue and Fergus Street, were recently opened for ENCORE Cincinnati's "Green Bags" Eco Lunch Series.

While they do look much the same as they did during my March visit, some landscaping work has been done by neighborhood volunteers.

And all of the staging furniture has been removed!

The homes, based on a design by architect S. Flavio Espinoza with refinements by local architect Alice Emmons, are the first "in the field" builds resulting from David Brown's HOME House Project, a national design initiative aimed at providing well-designed, environmentally-friendly affordable housing.

Both homes had been listed by Huff Realty, but are now being listed by Libby Hunter and Jami Stutzman of Sibcy Cline Realtors.

On her Keepin' it REAL Estate blog, Stutzman reports that there is a sale pending on one of the homes.
