The Urban Design Review Board will review and discuss schematic design plans for the first phase of The Banks in a public meeting to be held tomorrow at 2 PM in Room 115 of City Hall, 801 Plum Street.
The first phase of the 2.8 million-square-foot project is expected to include up to 300 apartments and 80,000 square feet of retail space and is scheduled for completion in 2010.
The Urban Design Review Board is a contractually obligated, four-member body that advises the city manager on projects' conformity to the Cincinnati 2000 Plan for sites sold or leased by the City within the central business district.
The Banks officially broke ground in April, and site preparation work for the development's parking garages is underway.
Also, Cincinnati City Council's Economic Development Committee will be briefed on the progress of The Banks this morning at 11 AM in Council Chambers, a meeting which is also open to the public.
